Zusammen Berlin, holds a significant place in the hearts of the Israeli community in Berlin. When it opened its doors in September 2017, it laid the foundation for what would become a thriving hub for Israelis in Berlin. Zusammen Berlin brings together Israelis from all walks of life and creates a sense of belonging within the community.
From the very beginning, Zusammen Berlin aimed to provide a welcoming space for Israelis living in Berlin, allowing them to connect with their cultural roots and engage in activities that celebrate their heritage. The center quickly became a vibrant hub, hosting a wide range of events and gatherings that catered to the diverse interests of the community.
One of the key features of Zusammen Berlin is its hosting of Shabbat and holiday meals. These gatherings not only serve as an opportunity for Israelis to come together and share traditional meals, but they also foster a sense of unity and camaraderie. In addition to the communal meals, Zusammen Berlin offers various classes for children and youth, family activities and events for adults, all in Hebrew. These programs not only help young Israelis maintain their language skills but also allow them to connect with their Israeli identity, cultural heritage and religion.
